Following the release of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, sales of Homer's Odysseia on Trendyol surged by 559%, with search queries rising 348%. Demand for combined Iliad and Odysseia sets jumped up to 1,900%.

The global release of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has driven a wave of interest in the ancient classic on the digital commerce platform Trendyol. Authored by Homer in the 8th century BC, Odysseia details the ten-year journey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, as he attempts to return home following the Trojan War. In the premiere week of the Oscar-winning director's new film, sales for the book soared by 559%.

Comparing July figures to the preceding 11 months, overall interest in Odysseia increased by 305%. Search queries containing "Odyssey" or "Odysseia" on Trendyol grew by 348% over the past week. Demand for book sets featuring both Iliad and Odysseia saw an increase of up to 1,900%. The top ordering cities for Odysseia were listed as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Kocaeli, and Muğla.

Featuring a cast that includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong'o, The Odyssey has revitalized public interest in one of world literature's foundational epics.
