Encompassing a total footprint of 4,800 square meters—including 3,500 square meters of dedicated covered warehousing—the newly established hub transitions previously fragmented operations into a unified, Volvo Group-owned facility. Designed with immediate capacity to accommodate up to 30% operational growth, the center features an internal layout scalable by an additional 25–30% through future vertical automated storage integration.
The facility manages 20,000 distinct stock-keeping units (SKUs) and is engineered to process an annual throughput of 2,200 tons of components, spanning powertrain assemblies, chassis elements, filters, injectors, and mechanical fasteners. In addition to standard five-day weekly dispatches, the hub operates a 24/7 VIP emergency parts fulfillment service to reduce fleet downtime. Built with sustainable logistics criteria, the facility deploys electric material handling equipment, implements zero-waste workflows, and integrates an infrastructure ready for a planned rooftop solar photovoltaic installation in 2027.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sandra Finer, Senior Vice President of Service Operations and Technology; Laurent Ramillien, Senior Vice President of Lyon and International Operations; Mourad Hedna, President of Renault Trucks Turkey; and Mehdi Kılıç, Head of Power and Energy Solutions at Volvo Penta Turkey.
Executive Commentary
Laurent Ramillien, Senior Vice President, Volvo Group Lyon and International Operations:
“Turkey represents a key hub within the Volvo Group logistics footprint. Operating one of our 11 regional distribution centers in Turkey reflects the strategic weight of this market in our operational organization. This facility reinforces our existing footprint across Turkey and Georgia while preparing our supply chain for long-term growth. Transitioning into an independent facility enables greater process efficiency and resource allocation.”
Sandra Finer, Senior Vice President, Volvo Group Service Operations and Technology:
“Operational continuity for our commercial customers is the ultimate benchmark of effective after-sales services. Achieving this requires resilient parts distribution networks, optimized inventory buffers, and disciplined warehousing logistics. Our Çayırova distribution center establishes the technological and structural capacity required to meet upcoming market demands.”

Mourad Hedna, President of Renault Trucks Turkey:
“In commercial transport, vehicle uptime directly impacts fleet profitability and total cost of ownership (TCO). Every hour an asset remains idle in a workshop impacts margins. Through scheduled dispatches and 24/7 VIP emergency supply lanes, our priority is accelerating parts availability so commercial fleets resume operations without structural delay.”
Mehdi Kılıç, Head of Power and Energy Solutions, Volvo Penta Turkey:
“In marine propulsion, industrial applications, and critical power generation, operational reliability is essential. Securing immediate access to verified OEM components sustains operational efficiency. This modern distribution platform enables Volvo Penta to calibrate inventory planning against regional market demands, driving higher parts availability.”
