Eti Bakır Publishes Climate and Nature Assessment Report

Eti Bakır, an operating company of Cengiz Holding and supplier of approximately 25% of Turkey’s refined copper, has released its inaugural "Climate and Nature-Related Risks and Opportunities Assessment Report," marking a first for the Turkish mining sector. Covering 8 industrial facilities across Turkey, the report shows that the company's circular integrated operations eliminated the need for 54.4 hectares of new mining footprints in Mazıdağı and achieved closed-loop water recovery rates of up to 95%.

İGSAŞ Builds Seawater Desalination Plant to Save 1M Tons of Water

İGSAŞ, a chemical and fertilizer manufacturing subsidiary of Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding, is developing a Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) demineralization facility at its Kocaeli manufacturing campus to save 1 million cubic meters of freshwater annually. Scheduled for commissioning in Q1 2027, the installation will utilize cooling-water discharge streams to supply pure industrial water without extracting additional seawater, alleviating withdrawal pressure on Lake Sapanca.

Enerjisa Enerji, Turkey’s leading electricity distribution and retail company, announced an executive management transition. Effective November 1, 2026, Dr. Philipp Ulbrich, who has served as CFO since June 2023, will hand over his responsibilities to Joanna Kępczyńska, currently Management Board Member and CFO of E.ON Polska. Dr. Ulbrich will transition to the E.ON Group as Module Lead for Global Business Services.

YEO Teknoloji Signs $58.6 Million Turnkey Energy Storage Contract in Azerbaijan

YEO Teknoloji has signed a $58.6 million EPC-F contract with Azerbaijan’s national grid operator Azerenerji CJSC to deliver a 250 MWh turnkey Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Equipped with batteries manufactured by subsidiary REAP Battery at its Istanbul plant, the project expands YEO's total energy storage footprint in Azerbaijan to 790 MWh.
