According to data from the Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association (IDMIB), footwear exports decreased by 12.1 percent in value to 314.4 million dollars in the first five months of 2026, while the export value per kilogram rose by 35.1 percent to 5.58 dollars.
