The Story That Began with a Ribbon Continues Through Art and Solidarity

In observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) Turkey has joined forces with Istanbul Modern to present the "Inspired by Art: Embracing Care" program from October 6–11, 2026. Preceded by illuminating the museum building in pink light on October 5, the initiative unites art, community, and health advocacy alongside ELC’s ongoing PinkLine support service operated with the Pink Traces Women’s Cancers Association.

Co-created in 1992 when the late Evelyn H. Lauder launched the iconic Pink Ribbon, the ELC Breast Cancer Campaign has raised more than $156 million globally over three decades, directing upwards of $123 million to medical research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

In Turkey, the initiative translates global research commitments into tangible local support and cultural engagement.

Community Engagement at Istanbul Modern

Marking the collaboration, Istanbul Modern will be illuminated in pink on October 5, followed by six days of public, complimentary programming running October 6–11, 2026:

  • Workshops and Expressive Arts: Body awareness, vocal, and rhythm sessions exploring wellbeing and collective healing.

  • Guided Tours and Seminars: Curated exhibition tours and multidisciplinary panels addressing emotional solidarity and patient experiences.

  • Participatory Installations: Collaborative art experiences centering on mutual care and empathy.

Tangible Support via the PinkLine Platform

Beyond cultural awareness, ELC Turkey maintains year-round clinical and emotional support for women navigating oncology treatments through its partnership with the Pink Traces Women’s Cancers Association:

  • Provides free remote psychological counseling and clinical nutritional guidance.

  • Incorporates specialized beauty and skincare consultations conducted by trained ELC beauty advisors to support patients' daily quality of life during therapy.

  • Has delivered over 10,000 complimentary consultations to more than 4,000 patients nationwide.
