Ebru Koç: "TURKCOMPOSITE Is Not Merely a Trade Fair; It Is a Hub of Knowledge and Innovation"

Spanning 15,000 square meters of exhibition space, TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 brought together all key stakeholders of the composites ecosystem. Ebru Koç, Secretary General of the Turkish Composites Manufacturers Association (TCMA), joined the ChemEx World studio to discuss the event’s benchmark milestones, university-industry collaboration, and the landmark decision to grant association membership to engineering students.

Organized for the 11th time by the Turkish Composites Manufacturers Association across its 21-year history, TURKCOMPOSITE set a new benchmark by expanding into a 15,000-square-meter professional venue. Underlining the high visitor turnout and intense technical engagement from day one, Ebru Koç noted that the exhibition serves as a solid foundation for expanding cross-border partnerships.

Highlighting the association's academic roots—founded with key contributions from institutions like Boğaziçi and Marmara University alongside nearly 15 honorary academic members—Koç detailed how universities such as ITU, Yıldız Technical, and Yalova took part with dedicated booths. She announced a historic statute change enabling university students to become active association members during their studies, directly integrating future engineers into the industrial ecosystem prior to graduation.

Emphasizing that the event transcends standard commercial transactions, Koç stated: "Our primary purpose in hosting this exhibition is not driven solely by commercial goals. TURKCOMPOSITE is not merely a trade show; above all, it is the meeting point for knowledge, technology, and innovation. Through our live demonstration hubs, innovation displays, and technical seminar sessions, we unite all dedicated stakeholders under a shared forward-looking vision."
