Footwear Sub-Industry Gathers in Istanbul

Organized by the Footwear Sub-Manufacturers Association (AYSAD) as the largest exhibition in Eurasia and the second largest in Europe, the International Footwear Sub-Industry Exhibition (AYSAF) will open its doors on November 11–13, 2026, at the Istanbul Expo Center. Bringing together approximately 100 exhibiting companies despite a challenging economic period, the event aims to translate the solidarity achieved during chamber elections into commercial momentum while presenting Turkey's reliable and high-quality production infrastructure amid shifting global supply chains.

Representing 36 distinct sub-sectors of the footwear component industry, roughly 100 exhibitors will display advancements across sole systems, genuine leather, artificial leather, textiles, EVA, metal and plastic hardware, chemicals, adhesives, molds, and footwear machinery. The event will convene major global buyers and footwear manufacturers.

Over three days, AYSAF 2026 will host commercial meetings along with industry programming, including a panel titled "Roadmap in the Footwear Industry: Cost, Competition, Transformation, Branding", the "Tasarlıyoruz Dericesine" project selection, and next-generation design exhibitions. The showcase will highlight lightweight sole technologies, technical textiles, microfiber materials, and recyclable sustainable solutions. Industry professionals and visitors can access the exhibition by registering online at aysafexpo.com.

Statement from Sait Salıcı

Sait Salıcı, President of the Board of Directors at AYSAD and Assembly Member of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), stated:

“As the footwear and components sector, we are navigating a difficult period marked by high costs, tight financing, and narrowing margins. However, we possess an industrial heritage that chooses transformation over stagnation. Recently, through solidarity across our sector's stakeholders in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO) elections, we achieved historic representation. The shared wisdom and solidarity we demonstrated then by saying 'We succeeded together' is being carried onto our exhibition floor and into our commercial objectives today.

This year, we take our place at AYSAF with nearly 100 determined and productive enterprises. We remain committed to preserving our competitive edge through value-added manufacturing, digital automation, the GENÇ AYSAD vision, and new export destinations. I believe this exhibition will serve as a launchpad for both our manufacturers and global suppliers. We succeeded together at the ballot boxes and chamber boards; today, we will succeed together again in industry, production, and exports.”
