TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 Opens Its Doors in Istanbul

Supported by the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency and organized by CNG Expo, TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 will be held on October 21-23, 2026, across 15,000 m² under the slogan "Meet4Composite."

Küresel Kompozit Dünyası İstanbul’da Buluşuyor

Exceeding $130 billion as of 2026 across sectors ranging from aerospace and automotive to wind energy, defense, and maritime, the global composite market is experiencing one of the greatest technological transformations in its history. Globally increasing geopolitical tensions and record investments in the defense industry, lightweighting technologies extending electric vehicle range, AI-native material design, and circular biocomposites form the core agenda items of the composite world.

While global demand for lightweight, durable, and high-performance advanced materials is rapidly increasing, the Turkish composite sector—whose exports exceeded $2 billion in 2024 and which aims to reach a market size of $7 billion within the next 5 years—is placing itself at the center of the global supply chain.

Targeting to make Turkey the regional hub of this strategic ecosystem, the International Composites Exhibition TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 will take place at the Istanbul Expo Center on October 21–23, 2026, with the support of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency and the renewed organizational vision of CNG Expo.

The Composite Wind Worldwide

Due to carbon emission restrictions and lightweighting requirements, the global industry is rapidly moving away from traditional metals and turning to composite solutions. The prominent global trends shaping the world composite industry in 2026 are listed as follows:

  • Electric Vehicles and Automotive: The use of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) in body and chassis components against battery weight increase has reached record levels.

  • Geopolitical Needs and Defense-Aerospace: Advanced composites providing corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength, and lightweighting in aerial platforms, unmanned aerial/marine vehicles (UAVs/USVs), and rocket systems have turned into a strategic priority.

  • AI-Supported Manufacturing and Automation: Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and Automated Tape Laying (ATL) technologies, along with AI-supported polymer design, have accelerated mass production by reducing scrap rates and costs in manufacturing.

  • Sustainability and Biocomposites: Thermoplastic resins, recyclable matrices, and biocomposite materials have become the core focus of the sector with the EU Green Deal and global environmental regulations.

The Global Rise of the Turkish Composite Industry

The Turkish composite sector makes its power felt in the global market with its high engineering strength, production at international standards (EN, ASTM, ISO), and rapidly increasing R&D capacity. Having quintupled its exports in the last 5 years to carry it above $2 billion as of 2024, the sector aims to reach a size of $7 billion within the next 5 years along with growth in construction, automotive, aviation, wind energy, and the defense industry.

Producing carbon fiber, aramid fibers, prepregs, nano-composites, and high-tech resins alongside traditional glass fiber products, the sector continuously increases its market share in North America, Western Europe, India, Southeast Asia, and the MENA regions.

15,000 m² Showcase Under "Meet4Composite"

Turkey’s most comprehensive organization in the field of composite materials and technologies, the International Composites Exhibition TURKCOMPOSITE 2026, is preparing to open its doors with a completely renewed structure.

To be held on October 21–23, 2026, across an area of 15,000 m² in Halls 9 and 10 and the foyer area of the Istanbul Expo Center with the support of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency, the exhibition will be brought to life under the slogan "Meet4Composite". The exhibition will showcase the latest innovations in a wide scale such as raw materials, semi-finished goods, final products, laboratory systems, test equipment, and automation technologies.

New Organization, New Vision

Organized with the support of the Turkish Composites Manufacturers Association and featuring industry giant institutions such as Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI/TUSAŞ), Roketsan, and BAYKAR, the exhibition is organized by CNG Expo, which has over 20 years of sectoral experience.

With this cooperation, the exhibition's organizational structure and international promotion network are completely renewed. Thanks to this change, both visitor experience and international marketing strategies are strengthened, increasing the global brand awareness of Turkish composite brands.

Statement from CNG Group Chairman Cengiz Yaman

Noting that Turkish companies regularly participate in global events like JEC World in France and CAMX in the USA, Cengiz Yaman, Chairman of CNG Group, stated:

While global demand for advanced materials is breaking records, the Turkish composite sector, with its high engineering capabilities, stands as one of the strongest candidates to meet this demand. With our renewed organizational structure and global marketing network, TURKCOMPOSITE 2026 will carry the Turkish composite industry to the global showcase it deserves.
