Nevzat Aydın Invests in Science-Backed Cosmetics Brand "ya da Multicosmetics"

Tech investor Nevzat Aydın has invested in "ya da Multicosmetics," a Turkish cosmetics brand founded by Toxicologist Pharmacist Tuba Çalık. Operated by an all-women team, the brand aims to accelerate R&D efforts, support international growth, and expand into 1,000 pharmacies across Turkey by the end of July.

The global beauty and personal care market is projected to reach approximately $636 billion by 2026 and $817 billion by 2031, while the Turkish cosmetics market reached $3.85 billion in 2025. According to Euromonitor data, beauty and personal care sales in Turkey grew by 39% during the same period, with the skincare category reaching $1.74 billion. With the global clean beauty market expected to surpass $20 billion by 2030 and the science-backed skincare segment projected to exceed $200 billion, investor interest in science-backed cosmetics continues to rise.

Driven by these market dynamics, entrepreneur and investor Nevzat Aydın invested in ya da Multicosmetics, a 100% Turkish cosmetics brand founded by Toxicologist Pharmacist Tuba Çalık. Operating with a science-backed formulation approach and an all-women team, the company offers products across skincare, sun protection, sensitive skincare, baby/child care, and oral care. By placing human biology, toxicology, and ingredient safety at the core of its product development, the brand plans to use the investment to strengthen its R&D infrastructure and take its formulations to international markets.

Investor and Founder Statements

Emphasizing that a startup's vision and capacity to generate sustainable value are key factors in his investment decisions, Entrepreneur and Investor Nevzat Aydın stated:

I made an investment that goes outside my usual investment focus. This is a step taken outside my traditional portfolio. My decision was driven by my confidence in company founder Tuba Çalık's vision and the potential the brand can create in the industry.

Highlighting that the investment validates their long-term scientific approach, Toxicologist Pharmacist Tuba Çalık, Founder of ya da Multicosmetics, added:

When founding ya da Multicosmetics, our goal was not just to develop cosmetics products. We aimed to create a brand that understands human biology, is backed by scientific data, and develops eco-friendly ingredients. For us, the most crucial element in cosmetics is developing products that consumers can use safely, with safety evaluated scientifically alongside efficacy. Formulation is an ethical decision. True innovation respects biology, and true luxury is safety. Real power comes from knowledge and conscience. Nevzat Aydın's investment shows that this approach and our long-term vision have found a strong response. In the coming period, we will expand our scientific product development capacity, focus on new product categories, and strengthen our international presence.
