A technical process optimization has been introduced to the polyurethane-coated breast implant market. Polytech Health & Aesthetics, headquartered in Dieburg, Germany, has begun updating its flagship Microthane product line, comprising a silicone elastomer shell, silicone gel filling, and a micropolyurethane foam exterior utilized across aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgeries.
Coinciding with Polytech's 40th corporate anniversary, the new manufacturing process is backed by European patent application EP26184379.1, filed on June 10, 2026. The primary technical advancement yields a completely flat rear surface free of manufacturing patches, alongside seamless edge profiles designed to enhance handling during surgical placement.
