Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, a leading international manufacturer of sustainable materials and performance mortars, continues to strengthen its specialized manufacturing network and vertical integration strategies within Turkey. The group has officially initiated the construction phase of a new production facility for its Chryso brand, located within the Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB). The performance indicators and design frameworks announced on June 02, 2026, highlight how the corporation intends to address the escalating demand for concrete and cement modifiers across regional building and infrastructure channels.
Merging Chryso and Weber: The Formation of a Unified Construction Chemicals Hub
The new capital expenditure has been strategically mapped inside the boundaries of Saint-Gobain's existing Weber industrial campus in AOSB. This co-location framework allows the Chryso and Weber brands to operate within a synchronized campus infrastructure for the first time in Turkey, establishing a highly advanced construction chemicals complex.
Operating across an expansive footprint of 10,000 square meters, the consolidated plant will streamline supply chain variables, centralized logistics handling, and multi-tier quality assurance testing, yielding immense operational synergy. Focusing on the synthesis of specialized concrete admixtures and structural cement formulations, the new production lines will provide flexible, just-in-time delivery matrices tailored to large-scale engineering and civil infrastructure works across the territory.
Digital Manufacturing Frameworks and Export-Oriented Capacity Growth
Engineered to optimize the overall operational efficiency indices of Saint-Gobain's transcontinental distribution matrix, the highly automated plant is on track to achieve full commissioning by the end of 2026. The existing technical engineering teams and plant operators currently managing Chryso's baseline regional lines will be transferred seamlessly to the new automated facility to preserve processing continuity.
Detailing the underlying macroeconomic targets and long-term asset strategies of the installation, Osman İlgen, Vice President of Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals for Turkey and Central Asia, noted the following:
Our new Chryso facility in Adana does not merely address contemporary domestic requirements; it serves our overarching target of establishing a robust manufacturing hub that actively backs international export lines through upcoming operational phases. By designing this plant with a strict focus on digitalization and environmental sustainability, we are implementing tomorrow's manufacturing paradigms today.
