Abdi İbrahim Wins Gold Stevie Award for Blue-Collar HR Transformation

Abdi İbrahim has been awarded the Gold Stevie at the Stevie Awards for Great Employers for its "Blue-Collar Skill-Based Compensation Design" project, which reflects production operators' technical expertise and experience into compensation frameworks through objective criteria.

A market leader in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector for 24 consecutive years, Abdi İbrahim has achieved international recognition for its human resources model implemented at the Esenyurt Production Complex. The company received the Gold Stevie Award in the "Achievement in Compensation Design and Management" category at the 11th annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers. Selected from over 1,000 entries across 38 countries, the winners were determined by an international panel of more than 160 professionals.

Integrated with the company’s internal MPx (Multiprocess) Development Program and deployed in 2024, the framework shifts the organizational baseline from position-based compensation to a skill-driven model. Developed entirely by Abdi İbrahim’s internal HR teams without external consultancy support, the architecture systematically maps acquired technical skills, operational experience, and cross-functional competencies into transparent salary matrices.

HEAL2050 Framework and Global HR Metrics

The skill-based compensation structure is anchored under the "Future of People" pillar within Abdi İbrahim’s HEAL2050 sustainability strategy. Aligning directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and “Reduced Inequalities”, the program provides an objective evaluation model for blue-collar staff at equal competency levels.

Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül (Group President of HR, Corporate Communications & Sustainability at Abdi İbrahim):

With the skill-based compensation model we implemented for our production operators at the Esenyurt Production Complex, we ensured that the experience and competencies acquired by our employees over the years are reflected in compensation management in a more systematic manner. We believe that sustainable success is achieved through an organizational culture where employees feel valued and secure, and we are proud to see this approach recognized with a Gold Stevie Award.
