New Recycling Capacity Comes Online in Tekirdağ
Saytek, operating with an integrated business model across healthcare, energy, and recycling, has launched a new plastic waste recycling plant in the Hayrabolu Industrial Zone of Tekirdağ.
By completing the acquisition of an rPET production facility previously owned by Kaptan Holding, the company has added its third recycling plant to its portfolio.
The facility, built on 35,000 m² of open area and 13,000 m² of indoor space, is designed with an initial annual production capacity of 20,000 tons and is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs.
“A New Phase of Scaling Up”
Saytek Chairman Özer Yıldırım emphasized the strategic importance of the investment:
“Our new facility in Tekirdağ represents a significant step forward in expanding our production strength in recycled plastics. With this investment, we are increasing our capacity while scaling up our food-grade rPET production.”
He also underlined that recycling is no longer just an environmental responsibility but a critical industrial raw material and a driver of economic growth.
Strong Financial Growth and Export Performance

Europe in Focus: Sustainability as a Competitive Driver
Highlighting shifting market dynamics, Yıldırım noted:
“Carbon footprint, traceability, and sustainable production are no longer just environmental concerns—they are key competitive factors. Our goal is to become a reliable, long-term supplier in European markets.”
The Tekirdağ investment plays a pivotal role in strengthening Saytek’s Europe-oriented growth strategy.
Next Step: High Value-Added Production in Konya
Saytek’s investment roadmap extends beyond Tekirdağ.

This project, expected to be completed by Q4 2028, will enable a transition toward higher value-added production.
Integrated Business Model Driving Sustainable Growth
