High Voltage Laboratories Drive Technical Training

118 students trained in High Voltage Laboratories established by BEDAŞ, AEDAŞ, and ÇEDAŞ have graduated under the Stars of Energy Project. Combining theory with lab-based practice, the initiative has led to 157 graduates being employed across the three distribution companies.

Boğaziçi Electricity Distribution Inc. (BEDAŞ), Akdeniz Electricity Distribution Inc. (AEDAŞ), and Çamlıbel Electricity Distribution Inc. (ÇEDAŞ) continue to strengthen technical vocational education through fully equipped High Voltage Laboratories. Implemented in partnership with the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the Stars of Energy Project saw 118 students complete their laboratory-backed technical education during the 2025-2026 academic term.

Through High Voltage Laboratories constructed by the three companies at Bayrampaşa İnönü Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Istanbul, Kepez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Antalya, and Atatürk Vocational and Technical High School in Sivas, students enrolled in the "Electrical Installations and Distribution Branch" receive hands-on training using real-world equipment under the supervision of industry specialists.

During the 2025-2026 academic term, 118 students graduated from these technical laboratories (39 in Istanbul, 61 in Antalya, and 18 in Sivas). Since the project's inception in 2018, total laboratory and field training participation reached 737 students, with 623 total graduates to date.

From Technical Labs to Direct Employment

Thanks to the practical experience gained within the High Voltage Laboratories, graduates seamlessly transition into technical roles across BEDAŞ, AEDAŞ, and ÇEDAŞ. A total of 157 graduates have already been employed in critical operational units, including fault repair and maintenance, SCADA, operations, geographic information systems (GIS), protection relays, meter replacement, and loss-leakage control. Recruitment plans are currently underway for the 118 new graduates from the current term.
