In line with its “Our Energy to the Future” strategy and community investment commitments, Turkey’s refining leader Tüpraş completed the latest term of its Basic Refining Internship Program. Delivered in institutional partnership with Kırıkkale University, Ege University, Batman University, and Kocaeli University, the one-month applied program bridges academic learning with field engineering practices.
Graduation and certification ceremonies took place across the Kırıkkale, İzmir, Batman, and İzmit Refineries, attended by Tüpraş refinery managers, university rectors, and vice-rectors.
Hands-on Technical Modules and Energy Transition Focus
Covering vocational disciplines such as refinery and petrochemicals, chemical technologies, electrical systems, machinery, and metallurgy, the framework featured:
Field Applications: Students observed unit operations on-site, converting classwork into operational technical capabilities.
Talent Development: Human Resources specialists led resume preparation clinics, mock interviews, and career roadmap sessions alongside operational panels with seasoned engineers.
Decarbonization Curriculum: Introduced for the first time this year, dedicated modules delivered by the Tüpraş Sustainability Team briefed interns on the company's 2050 Carbon Neutral pathway and renewable transition.
