ASELSAN’s precision-guided munitions showcased operational capabilities during the Guidance Systems International Demonstration held at the Konya Karapınar Firing Test Range. Tested in front of military officials representing more than 15 countries, ASELSAN’s LGK-82 and LGK-84 laser guidance kits and the TÜBİTAK-partnered GÖZDE Guidance Kit executed precision strikes across diverse combat scenarios.
Four Strikes, Four Direct Hits
The live-fire demonstration comprised four consecutive engagements utilizing both manned and unmanned aerial assets:
F-16 Fighter Platform: Released two LGK-84 munitions, destroying an armored personnel carrier (APC) and a main battle tank target respectively.
AKINCI UCAV Platform: Deployed one LGK-82 kit, neutralizing another armored personnel carrier target with direct precision.
GÖZDE Munition: Also launched from an AKINCI UCAV, the GÖZDE guidance kit engaged and eliminated a moving target cruising at 50 kilometers per hour.
Proven Accuracy Against Stationary and High-Speed Moving Targets
The firing trials verified the pinpoint strike capability of LGK-82 and LGK-84 against stationary ground installations and armored units. Simultaneously, the GÖZDE Guidance Kit reaffirmed its operational reliability by securing a direct impact on high-speed maneuverable surface targets.
