DHL’s Pink Ribbon Boeing 757 Lands in Istanbul for Cancer Awareness

As part of DHL Group’s “As One Against Cancer” initiative launched in 2019, a specialized Boeing 757 freighter adorned with the global pink ribbon emblem has touched down at Istanbul Airport (İGA). Arriving during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to emphasize the importance of early clinical diagnosis, the aircraft represents one of five dedicated Boeing 757s in DHL’s European fleet carrying the symbolic livery across continental flight lanes.

Designed to highlight the critical role of preventive screening and early detection in oncology, DHL Group integrates its air cargo operations into international public health advocacy. Under the "As One Against Cancer" campaign framework established in 2019, five Boeing 757 freighters operating within DHL's network were outfitted with the pink ribbon insignia—the universal symbol of breast cancer advocacy.

Conducting scheduled cargo operations across European hubs, these specialized aircraft communicate health awareness across diverse territories. The landing at Istanbul Airport (İGA) connects Turkey's primary aviation hub to DHL’s broader social responsibility roadmap.

Employee Engagement, Solidary Runs, and Charitable Initiatives

The operational and corporate citizenship pillars of the initiative include:

  • Cross-Border Reach: Utilizing frontline aviation assets to maintain continuous visual advocacy across commercial airports and airspace in Europe.

  • Pan-European Solidary Runs: Since 2020, dedicated employee running events across European operating units have engaged company personnel to champion preventive wellness and early screening.

  • Charitable Programs: Coordinated internal fundraising drives support oncological healthcare platforms and patient support initiatives.

With approximately 389,000 employees operating across more than 220 countries and territories, and generating €82.9 billion in consolidated revenue in 2025, DHL Group continues to utilize its international transport footprint to support global healthcare awareness.
