Rolls-Royce Unveils Nautical-Inspired Cullinan Yachting Collection

Rolls-Royce has introduced the Cullinan Yachting collection, inspired by the aesthetics of modern yachting. The series, limited to just four unique vehicles, combines advanced craftsmanship with maritime design codes. The collection reflects the brand’s long-standing connection with the nautical world.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled its latest bespoke collection, Cullinan Yachting, inspired by the refined aesthetics and material language of contemporary yachting. The collection consists of only four private commissions, each representing one of the four cardinal directions: North, South, East and West.

Each vehicle reflects its designated direction through carefully curated interior and exterior design elements, showcasing Rolls-Royce’s advanced Bespoke craftsmanship.

Handcrafted details with over 40 components

One of the most distinctive features of the collection is the intricate compass motif, created using more than 40 individually crafted wood inlay pieces. Materials such as Sycamore, Teak, Ash and Black Bolivar veneers are precisely cut and assembled entirely by hand.

Teak wood, commonly used in yacht decks, is extensively applied throughout the interior, including the rear console and door panels, emphasizing natural texture and maritime authenticity.

Hand-painted artistry and advanced finishing techniques

Each Cullinan Yachting model features hand-painted artworks inspired by the wake of a service boat moving across water. These compositions appear on the front fascia and picnic tables, reinforcing the nautical theme.

The development of this effect required a two-month refinement process, combining pigment spraying on wet lacquer with manual brush techniques to achieve a realistic wave motion.

The interior fascia is finished in Piano Milori Sparkle, a bespoke metallic blue inspired by the deep tones of the Mediterranean.

Nautical interior design and Starlight headliner

The interior combines Arctic White and Navy Blue leather, complemented by rope-inspired stitching patterns on the seats.

The signature Starlight headliner features fiber optic lighting inspired by Mediterranean wind maps, creating a dynamic sense of movement across the cabin.

Four directions, four identities

Each vehicle’s exterior color reflects its corresponding cardinal direction:

  • North: Crystal over Light Blue
  • South: Crystal over Arabian Blue IV
  • East: Dark Silk Teal
  • West: Sapphire Gunmetal

All models are completed with hand-painted compass motifs and 22-inch fully polished alloy wheels, echoing the refined finishes of modern yachts.

A legacy rooted in maritime heritage

The Cullinan Yachting collection highlights Rolls-Royce’s long-standing connection with the maritime world. Design elements such as the “waft line” are directly inspired by yacht hulls and their interaction with water.

This heritage also traces back to co-founder Charles Rolls, who had early experience in marine engineering before his pioneering work in automotive and aviation.

With its limited production and exceptional craftsmanship, the Cullinan Yachting collection represents a new benchmark in bespoke luxury and experiential design.
