Delivering organic sales growth and strong earnings despite persistent economic challenges, Henkel recorded Group sales of €10.348 billion in the first half of 2026. Driven by positive pricing and volume trends across both Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands, Henkel upgraded its 2026 sales guidance. At the Group level, organic sales growth is now expected to range between 1.5% and 3.5%, compared to the prior target of 1% to 3%.
Five Strategic Acquisitions Totaling €5 Billion
Henkel is investing a total of €5 billion across five acquisitions representing roughly €1.6 billion in annual sales. Four transactions have already been finalized:
Consumer Brands: Completed the acquisitions of OLAPLEX (generating approximately €370 million in annual sales) and Not Your Mother’s. The OLAPLEX acquisition elevates Henkel to the position of the world's second-largest player in professional hair care within a premium market expanding at a projected compound annual rate of around 5%.
Adhesive Technologies: Finalized the acquisitions of Wetherby Laroc and ATP Adhesive Systems (~€270 million in annual sales). ATP expands Henkel's portfolio beyond liquid technologies into water-based, high-performance specialty tapes—a segment projected to grow at ~7% annually.
Stahl Group Transaction: The acquisition of Stahl Group within the Adhesive Technologies unit is scheduled for completion in the second half of fiscal year 2026.
These five acquisitions are projected to contribute approximately €700 million to sales in 2026 (including Stahl Group), delivering mid-to-high single-digit growth to reach a combined sales value of approximately €2 billion by 2030.
Statement from Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel
Carsten Knobel, CEO of Henkel, stated:
Organic sales growth was achieved as both our Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands business units once again recorded positive developments in terms of both price and volume. In the first half of the year, we delivered an overall very strong business performance while continuing to make significant investments in our future, including our brands, technologies, and innovations. We agreed on five acquisitions with a total value of around 5 billion euros that will significantly strengthen our two business units. This is another important step in advancing our growth agenda sustainably. Based on our strong performance in the first half of the year, we raised our sales expectations for both the Group and the Adhesive Technologies Business Unit. At the Group level, we now expect organic sales growth of between 1.5 and 3.5 percent, compared to our previous target range of 1 to 3 percent.
