Public infrastructure, transport terminals, and clinical laboratories are receiving a major upgrade in durability and ergonomics. Hewei Seating has announced the commercial launch of its high-performance PU seating platform, following more than seven years of comprehensive material testing and field analysis.
To solve common issues like structural rigidity and premature aging in public furniture, the company's engineering team overhauled the structural layout of the seating frame while introducing an advanced topcoat system to seal the molded polyurethane surfaces.
Advanced Pressure Distribution and Non-Porous PU Coating
Targeted at high-volume environments including airports, hospitals, university campuses, and government facilities, the platform integrates several key technical innovations:
Optimized Load Sharing: Strategically positioned spring hooks and plates within the inner frame distribute weight evenly across key seating zones. Additional spring plates beneath primary support sections boost compression resistance and enhance shock absorption.
Microscopic Surface Sealing: A proprietary transparent PU coating seals microscopic surface pores on the molded PU matrix. This barrier prevents moisture and contaminant penetration, directly mitigating bacterial growth, mildew, staining, and material degradation.
Thermal and Mechanical Resilience: The clear-coat technology significantly improves abrasion and scratch resistance, facilitates easy stain removal, and maintains thermal stability at temperatures up to 100°C.
Independent durability testing confirms that the system meets rigorous BIFMA standards, demonstrating exceptional fatigue resistance during prolonged and continuous heavy-use cycles.
