Intralogistics leader STILL has unveiled a groundbreaking solution with the launch of AXL 15 iGo, enabling fully autonomous truck loading and unloading operations for the first time.
While automation has become increasingly common in internal warehouse transport, loading dock operations have remained largely manual due to complex site conditions, safety requirements, and lack of standardization. STILL’s new solution directly addresses this long-standing challenge.
Automation Moves to the Loading Dock
Truck loading and unloading processes are among the most difficult operations to standardize due to:
- Limited space
- Varying trailer types
- High safety requirements
Dr. Florian Heydenreich, Managing Director Sales & Service at STILL, emphasized the significance of the innovation:
“With AXL 15 iGo, we are closing a long-standing gap in intralogistics. For the first time, truck loading and unloading processes can be standardized and scaled. Our solution makes inbound and outbound logistics more efficient, safer, more predictable, and more reliable.”
He added that process standardization improves operational transparency and supports STILL’s broader strategy of delivering scalable automation solutions.
“Go Hands Free” Becomes Reality
Feridun Çoğalan, Sales Director at STILL ARSER, highlighted the operational challenges at loading docks:
“Loading areas are among the most difficult operational points due to time pressure, labor shortages, and harsh working conditions. With AXL iGo, this variable and demanding environment is transformed into a standardized and uninterrupted workflow. Our customers can now manage operations more safely, predictably, and efficiently.”
According to Çoğalan, the “Go Hands Free” concept represents a new operational model where manual intervention is minimized.

30 Pallets in 35 Minutes: High Performance
The AXL 15 iGo is an autonomous low-lift pallet truck specifically designed for truck loading and unloading.
The system:
- Loads 30 EPAL pallets in approximately 35 minutes
- Uses two synchronized vehicles to optimize workflow
- Offers a load capacity of up to 1,500 kg and speeds of up to 2 m/s
This performance provides a significant efficiency advantage, particularly in high-volume logistics operations.
No Fixed Safety Infrastructure Required
One of the most notable features of AXL 15 iGo is its ability to operate without fixed safety installations.
This enables:
- Fast and flexible integration into existing operations
- Reduced infrastructure investment
- Greater adaptability across different environments
Smart Navigation and Advanced Safety Technologies
The system combines multiple advanced technologies to ensure precision and safety:
- 3D visual SLAM positioning outside the trailer
- LiDAR-based navigation inside the trailer
- Sensors that detect unexpected truck movements and trigger automatic stops
- 3D pallet recognition for accurate placement
These technologies ensure centimeter-level precision and high safety standards.

Suitable for Multiple Industries
AXL 15 iGo is particularly suited for industries with high pallet throughput, including:
- 3PL logistics providers
- Food and retail logistics companies
- Manufacturing operations
The solution also features:
- VDA 5050 standard interface
- Fleet management system integration
- Open API architecture for seamless warehouse management system compatibility
This allows for scalable and future-proof automation.
A New Era in Intralogistics
With AXL 15 iGo, STILL extends automation beyond warehouse interiors to the loading dock—marking a major shift in intralogistics.
The solution positions automation not just as a technological upgrade, but as a sustainable operational model that enhances efficiency and reliability.
