Saint-Gobain Türkiye Recognized for Sustainable Communication
Saint-Gobain Türkiye achieved significant recognition at the Altın Çekül International Building Catalog Awards, one of the respected platforms in the construction industry.
Organized by Yapı Kataloğu since 1991 to recognize innovative products, architectural projects, and communication initiatives in the sector, the awards honored Saint-Gobain Türkiye with the Altın Çekül Building Catalog Special Recognition Award for its “Sustainable and Lightweight Construction Solutions” communication strategy.
The communication strategy, carried out by the company over the past two years, aimed to increase awareness of sustainable and lightweight building systems, establish a strong dialogue with industry professionals, particularly architects, and create an ecosystem that contributes to the development of more sustainable buildings.
Dialogue with Architects Crowned with an Award
Built around the approach that “every building begins with an architectural drawing,” the strategy included physical events for architects in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir. Through digital event series, the company also reached thousands of industry professionals.
The strategy brought together architect-focused blog content, video series, office meetings, sectoral sponsorship collaborations, and leadership communication under a holistic framework.
One of the standout initiatives, the “Sustainable and Lightweight Building Talks” video series, reached hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and achieved strong engagement across social media platforms.
With this approach, Saint-Gobain Türkiye moved beyond being a brand that only offers products and solutions. It positioned itself as an actor that encourages knowledge sharing, shapes transformation together with industry stakeholders, and inspires sustainable construction.
Ceyda Öner: “The Award Reflects Our Strong Dialogue with the Sector”
Ceyda Öner, Corporate Communications Manager at Saint-Gobain Türkiye, stated that the award reflects not only a successful communication initiative, but also the company’s vision for the future of sustainable construction.
Öner said:
This award is not only an important indicator of a successful communication effort, but also of our belief in the future of sustainable construction and the strong dialogue we have established with the sector. At Saint-Gobain, we place sustainability, innovation, and knowledge sharing at the center of our business.
Öner also emphasized that they value thinking and producing together with a wide stakeholder group, from architects to young professionals, and contributing to the transformation of the construction sector.
“We are very pleased that this approach has been recognized by one of the most prestigious platforms in the sector, such as the Altın Çekül International Building Catalog Awards,” she said.
Sustainable Construction at the Center of Communication
Saint-Gobain Türkiye’s award-winning communication strategy stands out by moving beyond traditional product-focused communication in the construction sector and focusing on long-term perception transformation.
The strategy aims to contribute to the wider adoption of sustainable buildings that are longer-lasting, offer high comfort, have minimal environmental impact throughout their life cycle, and stand out with low carbon emissions.
Unlike conventional building practices in Türkiye, the initiative aimed to raise awareness of lightweight and sustainable construction solutions. It brought together physical events, digital content, academic collaborations, social media activities, and leadership communication under one integrated communication framework.
