Colors and pigments giant Sudarshan Chemical Industries has emerged as the latest Indian firm to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) as a core element of its evolving global operating model. The centre was developed in collaboration with Genpact, a leading provider of agentic and advanced technologies.
The GCC is co-located with the company’s headquarters in Pune. According to Sudarshan, it consolidates previously dispersed corporate functions into a single, integrated hub. The new structure is designed to enhance coordination across regions, accelerate governance and decision-making processes, and support operational efficiency as the company continues to scale.
Sudarshan has experienced significant growth in recent years, notably through the acquisition of the Frankfurt-based Heubach Group in 2025, which expanded its global footprint considerably. Today, the company operates in over 120 countries, employing around 3,900 people across 19 manufacturing and R&D facilities worldwide.
