PPG Breaks Ground on $280M Expansion in Ohio

PPG has broken ground on a new advanced manufacturing facility at its Delaware, Ohio site as part of a $280 million-plus expansion. Designed to serve automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, the facility will create approximately 100 full-time jobs and is scheduled to begin operations in 2028.

First announced in March, the 100,000-square-foot facility expands PPG’s production footprint for waterborne basecoats, primers, and clearcoats.

The site will integrate real-time quality inspection systems and automated material handling workflows, engineered to minimize process waste while optimizing water and energy efficiency.

The project will expand the Delaware site's existing workforce of 450 employees by adding roughly 100 full-time roles upon its targeted commercial startup in 2028.
