Gentaş Kimya, one of Türkiye’s leading producers of formaldehyde-based resins and acrylic sheets, aims to convert the restructuring of global supply chains into a concrete growth opportunity. The company plans to use its existing production capacity more efficiently, expand sales volumes in the medium term, and strengthen its export position, supported by growing demand and partnership proposals from Europe, the US, and Asia.

Europe and the US Turn Toward Türkiye
Commenting on the changing dynamics in global supply chains, Macit Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Gentaş Kimya, underlined Türkiye’s rising strategic role. “Türkiye has become a strategic manufacturing hub not only because European and US companies are seeking to diversify their supply chains, but also due to rising energy costs and changes in trade policies,” he said.
Aydın noted that since 2024, companies from Europe and the US have increasingly approached Gentaş Kimya for various cooperation models, including private-label production. “Since 2024, European and US-based companies have been holding discussions with Gentaş Kimya to diversify their sourcing and expand their product portfolios, including private-label manufacturing,” he stated.
From Spot Purchases to Long-Term Agreements
According to Aydın, rising energy costs and mounting production pressure in Europe have pushed companies to seek alternative supply regions. Emphasizing Türkiye’s ability to meet international quality standards, its competitive cost structure, and geographic proximity, Aydın said: “Companies that previously relied on spot purchases are now discussing three- to five-year supply agreements and joint branding strategies.” He added that this shift brings greater predictability in sales volumes for Gentaş Kimya.
Türkiye Emerges as an Alternative to China in the US Market
Aydın also highlighted new opportunities in the US market, particularly in the acrylic sheet segment, driven by changes in US trade policies. “The US administration’s additional tariffs on certain Asia-origin products are creating direct opportunities for us,” he said, noting that Türkiye stands out as a reliable supply option.
He added that over the past six months, the company has held concrete discussions with US distributors and end-product manufacturers.
“Demand for acrylic sheets is increasing in sectors such as healthcare, tourism, and retail, and Gentaş Kimya is well positioned to meet this demand with competitive quality and delivery performance.”

Strategic Cooperation Talks with Asian Producers
Aydın pointed out that Asian manufacturers are increasingly considering third-country production strategies due to anti-dumping measures and quota restrictions. In this context, Türkiye’s logistics access, customs advantages, and skilled workforce make it an attractive production base. “We are currently evaluating various cooperation models with Asian producers, including joint manufacturing, capacity-sharing agreements, and long-term supply contracts,” he said, adding that some negotiations are at an advanced stage and concrete steps are planned for 2026.
IPO Strategy to Support Sustainable Growth
Aydın also emphasized how these developments support the company’s IPO strategy:
“With the resources to be raised through the IPO, we plan to strengthen our commercial infrastructure and expand our sales and marketing teams to capitalize on these opportunities.”
Gentaş Kimya aims to increase the share of exports in total sales while reinforcing its position as a reliable and preferred supplier in both European and US markets, contributing to the company’s long-term sustainable growth.
