Polyurethane system house Kimpur has announced the establishment of an 80% subsidiary partnership with Kobe Polyurethane, in line with its strategy to strengthen its market position. With over 10 years of production experience, Kobe Polyurethane stands out for its product groups developed specifically for specialized application areas. Through this strategic investment, Kimpur aims to expand into new sectors not currently covered by its existing product range.
Portfolio Diversity and Niche Product Groups
Approximately 55% of Kobe Polyurethane’s product portfolio consists of segments that were previously unavailable in Kimpur’s current lineup. By incorporating the firm, which possesses an annual sales potential of 10,000 tons, Kimpur has created a structure to complete its product variety. Following the investment, Kobe Polyurethane will continue its operations under its existing brand identity, while production will transition to Kimpur’s facilities, leveraging the company’s operational and R&D capabilities.
Export Network and Target for Operational Synergy
Kobe Polyurethane maintains a broad international customer network, particularly in Europe and CIS countries, with an export rate of 40%. Kimpur plans to create significant synergy across production, procurement, and R&D through this collaboration. The goal is to increase operational efficiency through shared infrastructure and economies of scale, while establishing a more robust presence in export markets.
"Supporting Position in Different Segments"
Evaluating the strategic investment, Kimpur CEO Cavidan Karaca stated:
At Kimpur, we support our growth strategy not only through capacity increases but also with investments that will strengthen our product diversity and position us in different segments. By bringing together Kobe Polyurethane’s technical knowledge, we aim for sustainable and profitable growth in both Turkey and international markets.
Management Structure and Technical Expertise
The partnership plans to preserve Kobe Polyurethane’s current management structure and technical expertise. Nisso Behar, the founding partner and CEO of Kobe with over 25 years of industry experience, will continue his role as Managing Partner and Vice Chairman of the Board.
With this new subsidiary, Kimpur aims to maintain its position in the global sector by increasing its effectiveness in product segments dedicated to specialized applications.
