One of Türkiye’s long-established paint manufacturers, DYO Boya, has marked a significant milestone in environmentally and human health-focused innovation. The company’s “OXYMAX – Formaldehyde Adsorbing Silk Matte Interior Wall Paint” has been awarded the Türkiye Eco-Label (ISO 14024 Type I) under the “Expansion and Strengthening of the Türkiye Eco-Label System” project led by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. With this achievement, OXYMAX became the first interior paint product in Türkiye to receive this certification.
Life-Cycle-Based Evaluation Under ISO 14024
The Türkiye Eco-Label is based on the evaluation of a product’s environmental and human health impacts throughout its entire life cycle, from raw material sourcing to production, use, and disposal, using independent, scientific, and measurable criteria. Issued in accordance with the ISO 14024 standard and fully aligned with the EU Ecolabel, the certification process confirmed OXYMAX as the first interior paint to qualify under these stringent requirements.

Formaldehyde Reduction and Indoor Air Quality Focus
According to DYO, OXYMAX is capable of reducing formaldehyde levels by up to 74 percent in the applied environment. The paint’s zero-VOC formulation ensures odor-free application, while its high scrub resistance supports long-lasting performance. Designed with sensitive spaces in mind, OXYMAX is positioned as a suitable option for areas such as children’s rooms, where indoor air quality is particularly critical.
Independent Verification and Transparent Communication
DYO emphasized that the Türkiye Eco-Label certification process involves independent and transparent verification stages, underscoring that OXYMAX’s environmental and technical performance has been validated against international standards. With OXYMAX, DYO Boya aims to support healthier living spaces while continuing to contribute to the wider adoption of eco-label practices in Türkiye through its sustainability-driven innovation approach.
