Kimpur Strengthens Export Growth in the Panel Sector

Kimpur supported its growth in the panel sector with a new technical achievement delivered through customer projects. The testing and certification process conducted in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018 was successfully completed for panels produced with the KIMrigid PIR Sandwich Panel system, developed for projects of leading sandwich panel manufacturers in both domestic and export markets. The panels achieved the B-s1,d0 reaction-to-fire classification.

EN 13501-1:2018 is recognized as the European standard that defines the classification of construction products based on their reaction-to-fire performance. Kimpur positions itself as the first polyurethane system house in Türkiye to support certification processes enabling customers to achieve a B-s1,d0 classification.

Rising Global Demand and a Strengthening Position

As expectations regarding building safety and fire performance continue to rise across global markets, Kimpur has been rapidly adapting to these developments and continues to develop system solutions that support panel manufacturers in complying with evolving regulations. The results highlight Kimpur’s technical competence and regulatory compliance capabilities in international markets, while also strengthening export capacity in the panel sector.

Kimpur’s Deputy General Manager of Sales, Marketing and Sustainability, Tuncay Halat, said:

“Rapidly adapting to rising technical expectations in international markets is our strategic priority. The B-s1,d0 classification achieved by our customers with our KIMrigid PIR systems is a concrete demonstration of our R&D strength and our capability to develop solutions in line with global standards. We will continue to expand our collaborations in the panel sector and increase our projects both in Türkiye and abroad.”

Kimpur also noted that it is continuing its preparation work for two other certification processes requested by other customers in the panel segment.
