Executive Statement from CEO Ahmet Türkoğlu
Ahmet Türkoğlu, CEO of Cengiz Enerji, stated:
We reached significant output figures across our renewable plants in recent months. Thanks to heavy precipitation during winter, we broke a 5-year production record particularly in our hydroelectric power plants. In July, as an entire sector, we set a proportional record in renewable electricity generation in Turkey. We are pleased to have made a significant contribution. While meeting Turkey’s growing energy demand, strengthening supply security and accelerating the transition to a lower-carbon generation mix remain our primary priorities. Moving forward, we aim to expand our renewable investments—primarily in wind and solar—to increase the share of renewables in our generation portfolio. We will continue investing in Turkey’s energy transition and supporting a stronger, more independent energy future.
