Toyota Automotive Turkey Achieves $3.9 Billion in Exports

According to TIM 2025 data, Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey ranked as the country's second-largest goods exporter with an export volume of $3.9 billion. The Toyota C-HR and Corolla models manufactured in Sakarya were exported to more than 100 countries across five continents.

Ranking among the top spots on TIM's traditional export champions list this year as well, Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey maintained its position in the automotive sector with a performance of 3.9 billion dollars. The production facility located in Sakarya operates as one of the main manufacturing hubs within the brand's global network and European operations.

Making statements regarding the company's global production structure and operational philosophy after the award ceremony, Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey President and CEO Murat Bülbül used the following expressions:

Annual Battery Production Capacity of 75,000 Units and Environmental Strategy

Touching upon the new mobility, electrification, and sustainability processes in the global automotive sector, Murat Bülbül shared the following details regarding the production capacity and logistics investments at the Sakarya facility:

We meet the needs of world markets with our Toyota C-HR and Corolla models. With our experience in hybrid technology, our plug-in battery production line featuring an annual capacity of 75,000 units, and our high quality standards, we stand as a major manufacturing center for Toyota's European operations. Thanks to the technical capabilities and ownership of our employees, we share the gains and experiences we acquire with other global Toyota plants. In line with our visions of 'Mobility for All', 'Happiness for All', and 'Leave No One Behind', we focus on creating value not only for production but also for society and the environment. In alignment with Toyota Europe's 2040 carbon-neutral targets, we continue our investments toward low-emission technologies, renewable energy applications, and sustainable logistics solutions. With our strong production infrastructure, competent employees, and sustainability-oriented approach, we will continue to generate value from Turkey to the world in the upcoming period.

Share of Female Employees at the Plant Reaches 19 Percent

Adjustments made in the manufacturing processes within the framework of the company's human resources, diversity, and inclusion policies were reflected in the employment metrics. Pointing to the growth rates of female employment across the factory, Bülbül conveyed the change in the workforce structure with the following data:

We support female employment in our plant. Within the framework of our diversity and inclusion policy, we strive to create a workplace where everyone can work comfortably by making improvements in our processes. I would like to proudly state that our female employment rate across the factory, which was 3 percent in 2022, has reached 19 percent today. With women's multi-faceted ways of thinking and the different perspectives they bring, we are becoming a more innovative, stronger, and more inclusive company as Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey.
