The Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Plastics Industry Research, Development and Education Foundation (PAGEV) for 2025 was held in Istanbul with broad participation from industry representatives. Following the elections held during the General Assembly, incumbent Chairman Yavuz Eroğlu was unanimously re-elected, reaffirming the confidence of members.
Since assuming the presidency of PAGEV, Eroğlu has led a transformation within the sector, replacing fragmentation with coordination and collective decision-making. The foundation has strengthened its engagement with public authorities through effective representation and constructive dialogue, while also taking on a more active and influential role on international platforms.
During this period, PAGEV has evolved beyond a representative body into a key institution actively involved in decision-making processes and shaping the direction of the plastics industry. Eroğlu’s leadership roles, including his chairmanship of the TOBB Plastics, Rubber and Composites Industry Council, as well as his board membership at the European Plastics Converters Association and participation in global industry platforms, have significantly enhanced Türkiye’s position. The country is now recognized not only as a manufacturing hub but also as a stakeholder influencing industry regulations and global discussions.

In his address, Eroğlu also referred to the upcoming elections of the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB). He emphasized that the candidacy of PAGEV Vice Chairman Burak Önder, together with İbrahim Vefa Arıcı, represents an important step toward sectoral harmony, stating:
“As PAGEV, we fully support their candidacy.”
