Saint-Gobain Türkiye Appoints Murat Savcı as New CEO

Saint-Gobain Türkiye has announced a change in top management. With extensive experience in the building materials sector across Türkiye and international markets, Murat Savcı has been appointed as the company’s new CEO.

A new era begins at Saint-Gobain Türkiye following a leadership transition at the top level. Murat Savcı, who brings nearly 30 years of experience in the building materials industry, has taken over as CEO of Saint-Gobain Türkiye from Aykut Aydoğan, who has held the role since September 1, 2021 and decided to continue his career outside the group.

With its new leadership structure, Saint-Gobain Türkiye aims to further strengthen its pioneering role in the sector, with a strong focus on sustainable growth and innovation.

Strategic Governance Across 12 Brands

In his new role, Murat Savcı will be responsible for managing Saint-Gobain’s companies operating in Türkiye under 12 brands. As part of his responsibilities, he will also serve on the boards of Saint-Gobain Türkiye companies Weber, Chryso and Saint-Gobain Abrasives, as well as two joint venture companies, İzocam and Dalsan. In this capacity, he will lead the strategic governance of Saint-Gobain’s key operations in Türkiye.

Savcı’s priorities include strengthening the company’s position as an integrated solutions provider in line with Saint-Gobain’s new strategic plan, “Lead & Grow,” reinforcing its role as a preferred business partner for customers, and accelerating long-term, sustainable and profitable growth across all business lines.

Commenting on his new appointment, Murat Savcı stated:

In this direction, we will further develop our low-carbon and high value-added solutions, provide more integrated services to our customers, and strengthen our business approach that creates value for society, the environment and all our stakeholders.”

Who is Murat Savcı?

A graduate of Istanbul Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering, Savcı completed his master’s degree between 1991 and 1994 at Dortmund Technical University in Germany, focusing on construction economics and law. During the same period, he conducted academic research in the field of building physics.

Savcı began his professional career in Germany and held senior management and project management positions for many years in international construction and industrial groups. In Türkiye, he served as General Manager of Baumit Türkiye.

Between 2012 and 2019, Savcı served as Chairman of the Board at Koramic Construction Chemicals Inc., while simultaneously holding the position of Board Member and Vice President responsible for group companies at Belgium-based Koramic Chemicals NV, where he oversaw international operations.

In 2020, Savcı joined the Saint-Gobain Group as General Director of İzocam. In this role, he led the company’s transformation process focused on sustainability, innovation and operational efficiency, contributing to strengthening İzocam’s market position and enhancing its capabilities in high value-added solutions. Savcı is fluent in English and German.
