Strategic Production Investment in the U.S.
Sika AG has opened a new manufacturing plant for mortar products in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The modern facility, described as Sika’s largest mortar production site in the United States, stands out with its high level of automation.
With this investment, Sika will significantly expand its manufacturing capacity in the northeastern part of the country. The facility is designed to serve rising customer demand in major metropolitan areas more efficiently.
Responding to Growing Demand in the Northeast
The northeastern United States includes major cities and infrastructure hubs such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. This region offers strong market potential, driven by new infrastructure projects as well as the refurbishment of existing commercial buildings and infrastructure.
Through the new Bridgeton facility, Sika aims to provide customers in the region with faster access to innovative, industry-leading construction chemical solutions. The company will particularly focus on increasing demand for mortar solutions and shotcrete systems.
Broad Portfolio of Sika Solutions
The new site will produce a wide range of Sika solutions, including repair and leveling mortars, technical mortars, tile adhesives and shotcrete solutions.
The portfolio is designed to address both new infrastructure projects and the fast-growing need for commercial building and infrastructure refurbishment. In addition to products supplied directly to building and infrastructure projects, the facility will also manufacture a broad range of products sold through builders’ merchants.
Strengthening Market Position Across the USA
Sika continues to strengthen its position in the U.S. construction chemicals market through organic growth, complementary acquisitions and investments in innovation that create greater customer value.
The Bridgeton facility represents another strategic step in supporting sustainable long-term growth, best-in-class operational efficiency and increased market share across the country.
Sika: “A Solid Basis for Further Growth”
Mike Campion, Regional Manager Americas at Sika, said the new Bridgeton plant is a strategic expansion of the company’s production network in the United States. He noted that the facility creates a solid basis for further growth in the northeastern part of the country.
According to Campion, the investment will enable Sika to respond quickly to growing customer demand for value-adding solutions and further develop its presence in an economically strong region.
