KBR Secures 10-Year Catalyst Supply Deal with Indorama’s Ammonia Plants

The 10-year catalyst contract marks KBR’s first long-term catalyst agreement in the ammonia sector. The collaboration aims to enhance plant efficiency, operational reliability, and overall performance across Indorama’s global ammonia operations.

US-headquartered engineering and technology company KBR has signed a 10-year catalyst supply agreement with Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals FZE to support its global ammonia plant portfolio. Under the agreement, KBR will provide comprehensive catalyst solutions for six ammonia plants located in Nigeria, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and India.

Long-Term Partnership in the Ammonia Sector

KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced that it has been awarded a long-term catalyst supply contract covering Indorama’s entire ammonia plant portfolio.

Under the terms of the agreement, KBR will provide complete catalyst solutions for Indorama’s six ammonia plants located in Nigeria, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and India.

The deal represents KBR’s first long-term catalyst supply agreement in the ammonia industry, further strengthening the company’s position as a global provider of ammonia technologies and solutions.

Extending Cooperation Beyond Technology Licensing

Jay Ibrahim, President of KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions, stated that the agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies.

According to Ibrahim, KBR’s expertise in ammonia plant design, operations, and catalyst optimization is expected to help Indorama achieve improved efficiency, stronger reliability, and enhanced operational performance across its global ammonia facilities.
