Türkiye’s First Environmental Awards Program for Industry
The Kocaeli Chamber of Industry has announced the start of the application process for the Şahabettin Bilgisu Environmental Awards, which aim to encourage environmental responsibility and sustainable production in industry.
First launched in 1995, the program stands out as Türkiye’s first and only environmental awards initiative of its kind, rewarding industrial organizations that contribute to environmental protection and improvement.
This year marks the 32nd edition of the awards, and companies from across Türkiye are eligible to apply.
Awards Across Multiple Industrial Sectors
In addition to the Large-Scale Company and SME categories, awards will also be presented under several key industry segments, provided that a sufficient number of applications are received.
These sectors include:

Metal

Machinery
-
Stone and Soil-Based Industries

Wood and Wood Products

Energy
Companies demonstrating strong environmental performance will receive either the Environmental Award or Sector Awards.
Special Benefits for Award-Winning Companies
Beyond recognition, the awards also provide operational advantages for participating companies.
Firms that receive the Environmental Award or Sector Awards will benefit from special discounts on waste disposal services for one year from İZAYDAŞ. Companies that pass the initial evaluation stage and qualify for on-site inspections will also be eligible for special discounts.
Deadline: April 24, 2026
Applications for the awards must be submitted to the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry by April 24, 2026.
