At the event, where Gate 27 provided art consultancy and DECOL managed production, the interactive installation "Floating Matter II" by media artist Ahmet Said Kaplan was unveiled. Focusing on data, the body, and transformation, the work embodies the brand’s research-driven approach through the lens of contemporary art.
Interactive Reflection of Data and Cellular Dynamics
"Floating Matter II" transforms the viewer from a passive observer into an active participant. Data directed via a control panel is visualized instantaneously on an LED surface composed of thousands of diodes. This dynamic structure references human cellular organization while metaphorically visualizing the effects of environmental factors—such as sunlight, pollution, and stress—on the skin.
Media artist Ahmet Said Kaplan describes the interactive nature of the work:
Floating Matter stands out as an installation that allows the audience to experience the constantly changing flow of a digital fabric. The surface, sensitive to the visitor's touch, creates a flow-based interaction space between the viewer and the artwork.
