Global Growth Strategy Gains Momentum
Maintaining its leadership in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector for 24 consecutive years, Abdi İbrahim continues to expand its strong position internationally.
The company operates with its own organizational structure in 19 countries outside Türkiye and exports to more than 70 countries, spanning from the European Union to Canada, and from North Africa to Asia and the Middle East.
The latest appointments are part of the company’s broader strategy to further strengthen its global footprint.
Natasha Poposka to Lead North Macedonia Operations
Natasha Poposka holds a degree in Pharmacy from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University and a master’s degree in business administration.
She began her career at GlaxoSmithKline, where she held roles in sales management and therapeutic area leadership. She later took on senior positions at Sandoz, overseeing prescription products, marketing, and business development across North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo. Most recently, she served as Commercial Director at Septima Skopje.
As of April, Poposka has assumed her role as Country Manager for Abdi İbrahim North Macedonia, marking the launch of the company’s newly established operational structure in the market.
This move is a key step in strengthening Abdi İbrahim’s presence across the Balkans.
Wael Okasha to Head UAE Operations
Wael Okasha, a graduate of Helwan University’s Faculty of Commerce, began his career in business development and finance.
Following roles at Route, Acuman, and General Motors, he joined Sandoz, where he held several key positions including Business Planning & Analysis Manager for Egypt and the MENA region, CFO for the Middle East, and Head of Business Unit for the UAE & Kuwait.
Most recently serving as General Manager for Dubai & UAE at PromoPharma, Okasha has now been appointed Country Manager for Abdi İbrahim UAE.

Both country managers will be responsible for driving commercial growth and strengthening organizational capabilities in their respective markets, in line with Abdi İbrahim’s global expansion goals.
These strategic appointments reflect the company’s ambition to reinforce its position in both the Balkans and the Middle East.
