PLASTEX 2026, organized under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, will take place from 9 to 12 January 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (Cairo). Bringing together the full value chain of the plastics and rubber industries, the exhibition is positioned as one of the region’s leading trade platforms across the Middle East and North Africa.

According to the organizers, the event will feature more than 500 exhibiting companies, participants from over 60 countries, more than 32,000 professional visitors, and a total exhibition area exceeding 20,000 square meters. Country pavilions from Germany, Italy, China, Türkiye, India, and Korea are also set to reinforce the show’s international profile.

Three Conference Tracks to Support Business Growth

In addition to the exhibition area, PLASTEX 2026 will be supported by a conference program focused on business development. This year, the program will be structured around three tracks:

  • Strategy Conference (regulations, supply chains, investments)

  • Recycling and Packaging Conference (mechanical and chemical recycling, sustainable packaging)

  • Technical Conference (advanced materials, process technologies, automation and AI)

More than 45 sessions and over 100 speakers are planned.

Wide Product Range and Direct Market Access

PLASTEX will showcase a broad range of products and solutions, including raw materials, machinery and equipment, semi-finished and finished products, recycling technologies, packaging systems, robotics and automation, and technical components. The exhibition is positioned as a business platform where suppliers and buyers can connect directly, expand distribution networks and explore new partnerships across the growing MENA market.

Turkish Companies to Exhibit at PLASTEX 2026

Among the companies participating from Türkiye are 2D Kimya, Akdeniz Chemson, Altech Makine, CFN Kimya, Eurotec Engineering Plastics, Feydaş Makina, Former Makine, Gema Polimer, Işık Plastik, IMS Polymers, Majority Polymers, Mermas Kimya, Mikrosan Makina, Öz-mak Plastik, Plastay Kimya, Politem Plastik, Polymix Petrochemicals, Sarem Makina, and Tisan Engineering Plastics. The Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation (PAGEV) is also listed among the supporting organizations.

A Growing Market Creates Strategic Opportunities

In Egypt, industry accounts for around 17% of national income and 32% of employment, with most production led by the private sector. As the country accelerates investment programs aimed at import substitution, the chemicals industry, which includes plastics, rubber, fertilizers, pesticides and glass, remains one of its major industrial clusters.

At the same time, Egypt’s Vision 2030 plan includes dozens of new city developments, which are expected to stimulate housing, infrastructure and retail investments. This is likely to increase demand for plastics and chemical products directly. In this context, PLASTEX is not only a regional trade stop but also a strategic gateway for Turkish manufacturers seeking to enter the supply chains of a rapidly expanding market.
