Strategic Dialogue on Trade and Export Growth
The Plastics Industrialists Federation (PLASFED) held a high-level meeting with the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) to evaluate key issues related to trade and exports. During the visit, both sides discussed strategies to reinforce the link between production, trade and exports, as well as steps to support a more sustainable and resilient commercial framework.
Hosted by ATO Chairman Gürsel Baran, the meeting highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation across the industry–trade–export triangle. PLASFED Chairman Ömer Karadeniz emphasized that production, trade and exports cannot be considered in isolation and underlined the federation’s commitment to initiatives that improve manufacturers’ access to markets.
Karadeniz also pointed to Ankara’s strategic role as a hub where public institutions, industry and commerce converge, stating:
“A strong, constructive and continuous dialogue with ATO will not only address today’s needs but will also contribute to shaping the future of industry and trade on sustainable foundations.”
In his remarks, ATO Chairman Gürsel Baran described PLASFED’s Ankara program as a meaningful step toward strengthening intersectoral cooperation and expressed confidence that such engagements would lead to lasting and tangible outcomes.
