At the award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Fatma Varank and ISO President Erdal Bahçıvan emphasized that sustainability has become a key driver of competitiveness in industry. The award was accepted on behalf of Burpol by Chair of the Board İlkay Yıldırım, who said: “Bu başarı, sürdürülebilirliğin tüm karar süreçlerimize entegre edildiğinin ve paydaşlarımıza somut değer ürettiğimizin göstergesidir,”.
Established in 1995, the ISO Green Transformation Awards aim to highlight innovative practices in environmental performance, energy efficiency and sustainability. Burpol has previously been recognized with the TOBB “Türkiye’nin Girişimci Kadın Gücü – En Çevre Dostu Kadın Girişimci” Award (2023) and the PAGÇEV Plastic Recycling Awards (2024).
