Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Launches Twin Transition Clustering Project in Brno

The Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) held the kick-off meeting of its “Clustering and Inter-Chamber Cooperation for the Twin Transition” project in Brno, Czechia on March 5–6, 2026. Supported by the Türkiye–EU Business Dialogue II (TEBD-II) program, the initiative focuses on accelerating digital and green transformation in industry through international knowledge exchange and cluster collaboration.

Project Kick-Off Held in Brno

The Kocaeli Chamber of Industry officially launched its international project aimed at strengthening industrial cooperation and accelerating transformation in manufacturing.

The project titled “Clustering and Inter-Chamber Cooperation for the Twin Transition”, financed by the Türkiye–EU Business Dialogue II (TEBD-II) program, began with a kick-off meeting held in Brno, Czechia on March 5–6, 2026.

During the visit, project partners discussed the implementation process and technical framework, while also reviewing successful cluster ecosystems and cooperation models in the region.

European Cluster Ecosystems Examined

As part of the program, the KSO delegation gained insights into Brno’s advanced industrial cluster structures and innovation ecosystems.

Technical presentations were delivered by the management teams of:

  • CREA Hydro & Energy Cluster

  • Industry 4.0 Cluster

The delegation also conducted site visits to key innovation hubs, including:

  • Cybersecurity Cluster

  • Brno Space Cluster

These visits provided valuable insight into cluster governance, technology development, and cross-sector collaboration.

Strengthening Cooperation for the Twin Transition

The visit represents an important step toward supporting Türkiye’s digital and green transformation goals, often referred to as the “Twin Transition.”

Through the project, the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry aims to:

  • Strengthen cluster-based cooperation

  • Enhance knowledge exchange between chambers

  • Support the integration of sustainable and digital transformation strategies within industry.

As global industry accelerates its transition toward digitalization and sustainability, international cooperation and cluster-based collaboration are becoming increasingly critical. The outcomes of the project are expected to contribute to the development of a more resilient and innovation-driven industrial ecosystem.
