“Southeast Asia Is Strategically Important for Our Sector”
Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of İKMİB, emphasized that the Turkish household and kitchenware sector holds a strong position in global markets thanks to its production capacity, quality standards, and competitive pricing.
He highlighted that Southeast Asia offers significant opportunities due to its young population, expanding retail sector, and increasing consumption levels.
“Through this trade mission to the Philippines, we aimed to help our member companies establish direct contact with the market and develop long-term business partnerships. Strengthening our presence in distant and alternative markets is essential for the sustainability of our exports.”
Asia-Pacific Remains a Priority Market
İKMİB noted that the Asia-Pacific region will remain one of the priority markets for the household and kitchenware sector in the coming years.
The association plans to continue organizing trade missions and buyer delegation programs targeting key markets to increase Turkish companies’ share in global trade.
