İKMİB Pharmaceutical Committee Kicks Off 2026 With Institutional Visits

The Pharmaceutical Committee of the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB) has launched its 2026 agenda with a series of institutional visits. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation in line with export targets by assessing the sector’s priorities on site.

Members of the İKMİB Pharmaceutical Committee began the new year with a comprehensive program of institutional visits. As the first step of the 2026 agenda, meetings were held with public institutions and key industry stakeholders to exchange views and discuss projects and expectations that can contribute to the sector’s development.

Strengthening Sectoral Cooperation Through Institutional Visits

During the visits led by the Committee Chair and board members, discussions were held with relevant ministries, public bodies, and regulatory authorities. The meetings focused on the current state of Türkiye’s pharmaceutical industry, its export potential, and coordination efforts to enhance international competitiveness.

Key Agenda Items

Key topics addressed included regulatory processes, R&D incentives, regulatory alignment, and access to global markets. Committee members shared field experience and put forward proposals aimed at making public policies more effective and implementation-oriented.

Message of Enhanced Collaboration

Emphasizing that the visits will help strengthen public–private sector cooperation, the Chair of the İKMİB Pharmaceutical Committee said: “Sustainable growth in exports requires a shared vision and strong coordination. We have started 2026 with this understanding and will continue to move forward together with all stakeholders.”

The Committee also announced plans for new activities, training programs, and international cooperation projects in the period ahead. These visits are seen as a strategic step toward achieving 2026 export targets.
