Tosyalı Holding, which backs its global crude steel manufacturing volumes with integrated logistics capabilities, has received a premier sector award in maritime trade management. During the award ceremony held at the 5th Turkey Maritime Summit, Tosyalı İskenderun Port—the group’s primary Mediterranean logistics base—topped its category based on accelerated cargo handling performance ratios. The award was presented to Mehmet Fatih Tosyalı by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.
Situated within the Iskenderun 2nd Organized Industrial Zone, the port features an annual cargo handling capacity of 20 million tons and a pier layout allowing 16 vessels to berth concurrently. Operating 24/7 via advanced technology cranes and computerized handling arrays, the terminal serves as a vital foreign trade gateway connecting southeastern industrial centers directly to international shipping routes including Germany, the US, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Railway Integration and Global Port Portfolio
The primary operational expansion schemes, hinterland connectivity layouts, and corporate shipping projections defined by the group feature the following parameters:
Intermodal Connectivity: In addition to existing highway and maritime networks, construction works are underway on a new "Railway Junction Line Project" designed to enable high-speed, cost-efficient bulk cargo transfers to industrial basins.
International Footprint & Green Field Projects: Beyond its national maritime terminals, Tosyalı Holding manages heavy-duty port operations in Algeria. The conglomerate aims to expand its total maritime logistics capacity through a new greenfield port installation planned in the Erzin district of Hatay.
