The training program, consisting of 11 topics ranging from environmental awareness and recycling to nature conservation and zero waste, seeks to help students contribute to a more sustainable future.

Eti Bakır, a group company of Cengiz Holding, continues its “Environmental Inspectors” project, which focuses on environmental and social benefit.

As part of the project carried out in the regions where the company operates, Eti Bakır plans to reach 5,130 students this year. The training sessions cover topics such as environmental awareness, recycling, nature conservation, energy saving and zero waste.

Through the project, Eti Bakır aims to contribute to the development of environmentally conscious individuals and transfer sustainability awareness to future generations.

Total Number of Students Reached Will Exceed 12,000

Since 2021, Eti Bakır has provided sustainability training to 7,164 students in 164 schools as part of the Environmental Inspectors project.

With the addition of 5,130 students targeted this year, the total number of students reached under the project is expected to exceed 12,000.

Eti Bakır’s environmental engineers meet with students in Adıyaman, Artvin, Elazığ, İzmir, Kastamonu, Siirt, Samsun and Mardin, aiming to highlight the importance of environmental awareness from an early age.

“We Expand Our Impact by Reaching More Students Every Year”

Eti Bakır Environmental Director Yusuf Topçu emphasized that a sustainable future is possible through generations with strong environmental awareness, saying:

We continue this year the responsibility we have undertaken to raise students’ environmental awareness to a higher level. Our main goal in this project is to raise young generations with environmental consciousness. We launched the Environmental Inspectors project with this understanding, and we expand our impact every year by reaching more students. In our training sessions that encourage the protection of nature, we explain the difference between garbage and waste, as well as the differences between zero waste and recycling. As we continue to build a sustainable future together with our environmental engineers and students, we aim to help future generations contribute to the goal of a more livable world. When evaluated together with previous years, the total number of students reached within the project will exceed 12,000. Reaching these figures makes us very happy and motivated.

Training Sessions Continue in 8 Provinces

As part of the project, Eti Bakır met with students at schools in different provinces during the 2024–2025 academic year.

The company reached 335 students in 6 schools in Adıyaman, 853 students in 8 schools in Artvin through its Cerattepe and Murgul facilities, 1,000 students in 11 schools in İzmir, 400 students in 6 schools in Kastamonu and 550 students in 3 schools in Siirt.
