Microsoft is accelerating its investments in “prompt engineering” to enhance the effective use of AI-powered tools. While offering free educational content through platforms such as Microsoft Learn and GitHub, the company hosted two dedicated promptathon events at its Istanbul office for HR and legal professionals.
As AI becomes increasingly embedded in business operations, the ability to design effective prompts is emerging as a key competency. Microsoft is actively supporting this skills transformation.
The Rise of Agentic AI in Legal Services
At the event tailored for legal professionals, discussions focused on how AI is reshaping legal services, decision-making processes, and operational models.
Oğuzhan Arslan, Deputy General Manager responsible for Legal Affairs at Microsoft Türkiye and Adriatic Region, emphasized the transformative impact of agentic AI:
“With agentic AI, the transformation goes beyond generating insights or content. AI is no longer just an assistant, it takes action.”
Arslan also noted that Microsoft’s legal teams are already developing their own AI agents, highlighting the significant potential of this technology in the legal field.
The session also explored responsible and scalable AI adoption, real-world use cases, and executive perspectives. The event concluded with a hands-on “Copilot for Legal Teams” promptathon session.
Human–Agent Collaboration in HR

The second event, designed specifically for HR leaders, focused on the role of Copilot and agent technologies in workforce transformation.
Candan Eser, HR Director for Microsoft Türkiye and Southeast Europe, highlighted that AI is not merely a productivity tool:
“The real transformation lies in shifting human focus away from low-value tasks toward more strategic, creative, and human-centric work.”
Eser underlined the critical role of leadership in guiding this transition, emphasizing the need to develop the right skills and prepare organizations for new ways of working.
During the hands-on promptathon session, participants worked on real-life scenarios using Copilot.
Prompt Engineering Emerges as a Core Skill
Microsoft continues to provide free educational resources covering topics such as “Introduction to Prompt Engineering,” “Best Practices for Prompt Design,” and “Effective Use of Generative AI Applications.”
As AI-driven business models expand, the company aims to accelerate workforce transformation and digital skill development.
