Acer EMEA Moves to AI-Powered Logistics Platform for Real-Time Shipment and CO₂ Tracking

Acer EMEA is accelerating the digital transformation of its global supply chain with Wakeo’s AI-powered logistics visibility platform. The new system helps predict delays, congestion and potential disruptions across the supply chain, while enabling shipment-level CO₂ emissions tracking to strengthen sustainability and environmental optimization.

Acer EMEA has adopted an AI-powered logistics platform developed by Wakeo to enhance real-time tracking, predictive analytics and sustainability across its supply chain operations.

The new system enables Acer to monitor international shipments across sea, air, road and rail transport from end to end. It consolidates data from carriers, corporate ERP systems, logistics platforms and independent satellite sources into a single, centralized and reliable source of information for the entire supply chain.

Predictive Decision-Making Begins in Supply Chain Operations

Acer EMEA’s new logistics model marks a shift from traditional shipment tracking to a predictive, AI-powered structure. The platform analyzes delays, congestion and potential disruptions across the supply chain in advance, helping operational teams make faster and more effective decisions.

By combining transactional data with market intelligence, the solution helps identify weak points across the logistics network. This enables flows, costs and service levels to be optimized while supporting increasingly automated decision-making processes.

With the new system, Acer has achieved greater accuracy in estimated time of arrival, or ETA, on routes between East Asia and Western Europe up to 10 days before arrival. The company has also reduced delays, generated cost savings and lowered safety stock requirements.

“Exception Management” Model Focuses on Critical Shipments

The AI-powered platform introduces an “exception management” approach that allows supply chain teams to focus only on genuinely critical shipments.

This model significantly reduces manual tasks related to updating and correcting operational data. It also supports inventory optimization and enables shipments to be tracked down to SKU level.

Given Acer EMEA’s complex multimodal logistics flows from Asia to the EMEA region, finding a solution capable of fully covering all transport modes and combined shipments was a critical requirement.

CO₂ Emissions Tracking Strengthens Sustainable Logistics

The new platform not only improves shipment visibility and predictability but also enables Acer to track the CO₂ emissions of each shipment.

This allows the company to make environmental performance more measurable across its supply chain while combining sustainability and operational optimization objectives on a single digital infrastructure.

Following the successful launch of the project, Acer and Wakeo are jointly presenting the key benefits of the solution at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium in Barcelona.

“The New Predictive System Enables Our Team to Access More Accurate Data and Make Faster Decisions”

Riccardo Bernasconi, Senior Director of Supply Chain at Acer EMEA, commented on the project:

“The new predictive system enables our team to access more accurate data and make faster decisions. In an increasingly volatile business environment, access to reliable and up-to-date shipment data plays a critical role not only in increasing supply chain agility, but also in ensuring service continuity for customers and end users. The value of this project is not only reflected in improved operational visibility; it also lies in the opportunity to move toward a smarter decision-making model that can support the business even in the most complex scenarios.”

Wakeo CEO and Co-Founder Julien Cote also emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating:

We are proud to support the Acer team on this journey. This partnership is a strong demonstration of our ability to manage operations at global scale and across all transport modes. Today, supply chain resilience is not only about responding faster, but also about anticipating the next step. Supported by artificial intelligence, real-time recommendations and Wakeo’s market benchmarks, it enables the transition from a crisis management model to a proactive model. We aim to continue strengthening Acer’s resilience and sustainability performance.

Acer EMEA’s collaboration with Wakeo stands out as a notable example of AI-powered logistics, sustainable supply chain management and real-time emissions tracking.
