Adil Pelister: “The US Market Is Strategically Important”

Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board at İKMİB, emphasized the importance of the US market for the Turkish cosmetics sector, stating:

“The Turkish cosmetics industry continues to strengthen its position in global markets with its quality, innovation, and high production capability. The US market is of strategic importance for our sector. The United States ranks as our second-largest export destination for essential oils, cosmetics, and soaps. In 2025, our cosmetics exports to the US increased by nearly 17 percent, reaching USD 155.4 million. In January this year alone, exports grew by 9.89 percent to USD 10 million.”

Pelister added that İKMİB will continue to support exporters through national participation organizations, noting:

“By organizing national participation at Cosmoprof North America Miami for the third time, we aim to enhance the visibility of our companies in the US market and support the development of new partnerships. We believe this fair will pave the way for lasting commercial collaborations that will contribute to the growth of our exports.”
