Czech Market Holds Strategic Importance for European Expansion
According to export data in the essential oils, cosmetics, and soap product group, Türkiye’s top export destinations were Iraq (USD 161.9 million), the United States (USD 155.1 million), and Russia (USD 150.1 million). These were followed by the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Iran, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
While Europe remains one of the most important regions for Türkiye’s exports, the Czech market stands out as a promising growth destination for the Turkish cosmetics sector. Türkiye’s cosmetics exports to Czechia reached USD 18.63 million in 2024.
Pelister: “The Turkish Cosmetics Industry Is Strengthening Its Global Position Through Quality and Added Value”
İKMİB Chairman Adil Pelister emphasized that the Prague delegation represents a significant step toward enhancing the sector’s presence in the European market.
“Our Turkish cosmetics industry has been strengthening its position in international markets through its R&D capabilities, quality standards, and sustainable production practices. Increasing our sector’s exports by 11.8 percent to USD 2.3 billion in 2025 is the clearest indicator of this progress. Through the ECRM Cosmetics Trade Delegation in Prague, we aimed to connect our companies with key European buyers and pave the way for new partnerships. As İKMİB, we will continue to support our companies in accessing new markets in line with our vision of high value-added exports.”
