Turkish Perfume Exports Grew 18.1% in H1 2026

Turkey’s perfume exports expanded by 18.1% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, while industrial fragrance and odoriferous substance shipments increased by 15.4%. Moving in tandem with sectoral momentum, domestic manufacturer Auran Cosmetics projects 200% export growth in 2026, targeting a subsequent 100% international revenue increase in 2027. Currently shipping to six countries with market penetration across the Balkans, the company is preparing to enter the MENA region while raising the export share of its total turnover to 10%.

Expanding global demand across finished fragrance and cosmetic formulations has accelerated cross-border capital investments among Turkish manufacturers. Following its initial export operations to Northern Cyprus, Auran Cosmetics established steady distribution across six foreign markets, recording sustained commercial pull for personal perfumes, body mists, and home diffusers in the Balkan corridor.

To support this distribution footprint, the company finalized a TRY 30 million industrial machinery investment at its 5,000-square-meter production site in Kayseri. The added equipment elevates aggregate production capacity to 7 million units annually on a single shift, scalable up to 21 million units under a three-shift operational schedule.

Multi-Channel Retail Architecture and 65% Domestic Sourcing

Operational and strategic milestones highlighted in the disclosure include:

  • Export Strategy: A multi-layered cross-border commercial strategy combining international B2C e-commerce, regional wholesale distributors, and physical brick-and-mortar retail accounts designed to reach 118 destination markets.

  • Financial Targets: Auran projects FY2026 overall revenue expansion of approximately 50%, alongside a 200% year-on-year export surge. For FY2027, the company targets 100% export revenue growth, aiming for international trade to account for 10% of total company revenues.

  • Supply Chain Localization: Currently, 65% of raw manufacturing inputs and packaging materials are sourced from domestic Turkish suppliers, stabilizing production margins against foreign exchange fluctuations.

Executive Commentary

Abdullah Karataş, CEO of Auran Cosmetics, remarked:

“We project closing 2026 with roughly 50% top-line growth and a 200% increase in export turnover. We currently export to six countries, observing dependable retail demand for our fine fragrances, body mists, and ambient scents across the Balkans. For 2027, our roadmap calls for doubling international revenue, bringing the export share of our total sales to 10%, and executing market entries across the MENA region. Our operational priority is establishing permanent, scalable distribution infrastructures rather than short-term spot shipments.

Our blueprint to access more than 118 countries rests on a multi-channel framework uniting cross-border e-commerce, regional distributorships, and offline retail channels. Our TRY 30 million machinery expansion in Kayseri equips us to produce 7 million units annually on single shifts, scalable to 21 million units across three shifts. With 65% of our inputs sourced domestically, expanding localized raw material integration shields our operations from external volatility and reinforces export competitiveness.”
